A cutaway view is a type of illustration that shows the internal components of an object by removing a portion of its exterior. In the case of this 3D pump cutaway view, the internal components of this pump could be seen in a photorealistic way in three dimensions.

Some of the parts that could be seen here but are mentioned in Spanish in the images, are:

  • the impeller, which creates a flow of fluid when it moves. It is a rotating component that is shaped like a fan and is responsible for creating the flow of fluid. As the impeller rotates, it draws fluid into the pump and then pushes it out through the discharge port,
  • the impeller shaft, which is responsible for rotating the impeller when the pump is connected to an electric motor,
  • The casing is the outer shell of the pump and serves as a containment vessel for the fluid being pumped. The casing also serves to direct the flow of fluid from the suction port to the discharge port,
  • The volute is a curved section of the casing that helps to increase the pressure of the fluid as it flows through the pump. The volute is designed to provide a smooth transition from the impeller to the discharge port, which helps to reduce turbulence and improve efficiency,
  • the mechanical seal is a critical component that prevents fluid from leaking out of the pump. The mechanical seal is located at the point where the impeller shaft exits the casing and is designed to create a tight seal between the rotating and stationary parts of the pump.
